What if sleeping beauty became a knight instead? 

A mini project I’ve been thinking about for awhile. You can find a backstory comic [here].

It’s been almost three years since I made this, wow! It’s a very sentimental thing to me, because I made it just after finishing my thesis film, and it was the first animated thing I ever made on my own, for myself. It was probably the first pretty popular thing I ever did on here too.

So it filled me with a million warm feelings when Kevin and Annie told me that it was part of their inspiration for 1001 Knights. I’m honored to be included, and incredibly happy to see this very big order of amazing artists carry on in celebration of armored heroines and tough women.

Today’s the last day to support the project if you’ve been thinking about it. Congrats 1001 Knights! May this inspire many more lady knights!

And thanks to everyone here from the bottom of my heart. I carry all the nice messages and stories I’ve gotten related to this with me, and it makes me feel a lot braver too.
