So watching cooking shows is really fun because today I learned about a neat dish called Devils on Horseback, which is apparently dried fruit stuffed with chutney or nuts and wrapped in bacon.
Also available on Instagram, as well as new work I haven’t scanned yet!
Trees through snow, trees through snow; passing on through woods alone. Hunter walks the path, so quiet. All to take the dead wood’s prize. Death is coming at frightening size.
‘This inflicted creature is… beyond recognition. I can’t even pinpoint its original species.’ Inktober Day13/Unlucky
Happy ~Friday the 13th~, everyone. This drawing is quite a spoiler, but make of it what you will. The daily ink drawings will return to being pleasant after today, I swear. 😀
On another note, I’m almost at the halfway point for the month! All these drawings are going into the book (some will have minor edits for layout/readability). If there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, or if you have any questions, ask away!
“Canóvanas, Puerto Rico”, gouache & watercolor on paper.
My third cryptid interpretation for VACVVM V1! This is a chupacabra, which according to folk accounts is a spiny-backed creature that kills farm animals by draining their blood. Chupacabras are said to resemble a mexican hairless dog or a raccoon/coyote with mange.
